Welcome to Perch. By using our iOS and macOS applications, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Perch, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Perch is a parental control application that provides:

  • Location tracking of family devices
  • AI-powered message safety analysis (processed locally)
  • Content filtering for web browsing
  • Safety alerts for parents

3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Parent features.
  • You must have legal custody or guardianship of any children monitored by the app.
  • You agree to use the app only for lawful family monitoring purposes.
Important: Using this app to monitor adults without their consent may violate local laws. Perch is designed for parental monitoring of minor children only.

4. Subscription Terms

  • Perch offers a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
  • After the trial, your subscription will automatically renew at $3.99/month or $29.99/year.
  • You can cancel anytime through your Apple ID settings.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policy.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information during setup
  • Keep your Parent PIN secure
  • Not attempt to circumvent the app's security features
  • Comply with all applicable laws regarding family monitoring

6. Limitations

Perch is a safety tool, not a guarantee. We do not warrant that:

  • The AI will detect all harmful content
  • Location tracking will be 100% accurate at all times
  • The app will prevent all potential harm

Parents should use Perch as one component of a broader family safety strategy.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Perch are owned by JCP Apps and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to Perch at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or us.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

PERCH IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JCP APPS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF PERCH.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of Perch after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
