GrainGuard AI ("we", "our", or "the App") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information.
Data We Collect
- Images you scan - Processed by our AI service to detect gluten. Images are not stored on our servers after analysis.
- Scan history - Stored locally on your device only. We do not have access to this data.
- Purchase information - Handled entirely by Apple. We do not see your payment details.
How We Use Data
- To provide AI-powered ingredient analysis
- To look up products in our database
- To improve our AI models (anonymized, aggregated data only)
Third-Party Services
- Open Food Facts - Public database for barcode lookups (no personal data shared)
- AI Analysis - Images are sent to our AI provider for analysis, then deleted
Data Security
All data transmission uses industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS). Scan history is stored locally on your device and can be deleted at any time from Settings.
Children's Privacy
Our app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Your Rights
- Delete your local scan history anytime in Settings
- Request deletion of any data by contacting us
